Dear Sisters,
As we have this month to celebrate the birth of our Savior, I am so grateful for the Christmas carols that tell such a beautiful story of His birth. Some of the carols make us want to shout with Joy and others cause us to bow in reverence for this most wonderful gift of the Christ child. Can you imagine the “Little Town of Bethlehem while mortals sleep, the angels keep their watch of wond’ring love. How silently, how silently the wondrous gift was given” to all the world. And there “in a manger the little Lord Jesus laid down his sweet head”. “I love thee, Lord Jesus!” and please “bless all the dear children in thy tender care, and fit us for heaven to live with thee there.” It all makes us want to shout out “Joy to the World, the Lord is come”. “Oh, come, all ye faithful, Come and behold him, Oh, come, let us adore him, Christ, the Lord.” We can only imagine the angels proclaiming “Hark, Glory to the newborn King” and then “While Shepherds Watched Their Flocks the angel of the Lord came down” and announced to them “Glad tidings of great joy I bring to you and all mankind” and “with wondering awe, the wise men saw the star in heaven springing.” On that “Silent night! Holy Night! All Heavenly Hosts sing Alleluia” as should we humbly proclaim our love and adoration for Him. We are all so blessed. All our love at the Christmas time. Merry Christmas!
