When February comes around we see hearts everywhere –all kinds of candy shaped into hearts, heart shaped desserts etc. The heart is the symbol for love. It is wonderful to belong to the Relief Society, whose motto is “Charity never Faileth.” Charity is the pure love of Christ, our Savior, whose teachings bless our lives each day as we try to follow him and live by his teachings.
What a blessing it is to see the heart filled love and giving that is extended from you dear sisters—Helping make quilts for humanitarian needs, giving Christmas gifts for others, tenderly caring and watching out for the sisters that you visit teach, praying wholeheartedly for those with illness and challenges, willingly donating food for funerals, and the list could go on and on of opening your hearts to others. The scripture in Mosiah 18:21 is being taught by you—“having their hearts knit together in unity and love one towards another.”
With love,
Sister Dayna Driscoll
